Black Bean Brownies

Can’t say these taste or feel exactly like box mix brownies, but they’re still delicious!


I N G R E D I E N T S

  • 1 cup of semisweet chocolate chips, melted
  • 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup of rolled oats
  • 1 15 oz can of black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1/4 cup of sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1 pinch of salt

D I R E C T I O N S

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and line an 8×8 inch pan with parchment.
  2. Dump all of the ingredients into a food processor and mix until completely smooth, about 2 or 3 minutes.
  3. Smooth the batter into the pan. Swirl in peanut butter and extra chocolate chips, if desired.
  4. Bake for 16 minutes. Let cool, then cut and serve.
