Prosciutto-Wrapped Asparagus Tart

So apparently asparagus is not in season. I really took for granted the times when I could get two bundles of tender, thin asparagus for $4. This morning I saw some ugly and wilted asparagus as Sprouts Farmers Market for $4.99/lb. Made a detour to Nugget Markets and found really nice asparagus for $6.99/lb. If having nice asparagus makes me happy, then I’m going to buy a bundle of asparagus for $6.99, dang it.

I recently discovered that most store-bought puff pastry don’t even use real butter, with the exception of Trader Joe’s puff pastry. Most are made with palm oil and a bunch of other not-so-good ingredients. I definitely recommend homemaking pastry if you have the time.

Tell me what you think!
